For Somya, her 16-year journey at Woolworths began in Internal Audit after five years in professional services. Seeking closer business engagement, she transitioned into Ecomm / Online and Group Retail Services finance roles, then returned to Internal Audit to lead the finance stream, leveraging her operational experience to add unique value. Ultimately, this path led her to Primary Connect, where she's spent the last eight years across four diverse roles. My advice to women pursuing leadership: stay open to unexpected pivots. Returning to audit was never in my plan, yet it was the catalyst that led me to my current purpose."
