The Opportunity

As a Commercial Deals Pricing Analyst within the Woolworths at Work team, you underpin the strategic and commercial ownership of customer deals by balancing price competitiveness, profitability, and scalability. You serve as the primary pricing consultant for Sales and Business Development teams, translating complex deal economics into actionable commercial solutions

This role is pivotal in ensuring our high-growth B2B contracts are structured for maximum value and long-term net profitability. You will perform the detailed work and financial analysis required to evaluate deal structures, assess financial impact, and provide data-driven recommendations that align with the company’s strategic goals. By collaborating across a cross-functional business—including Sales, Finance, Sourcing, and Legal—you will ensure that every commercial agreement is both market-relevant and financially sustainable.

What You’ll do

  • Deal Structuring & Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to simulate various pricing scenarios and create customer-specific P&Ls to quantify value and support the allocation of commercial incentives
  • Profitability Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses into key profit drivers—including Contribution Margin, Trading GP%, and Cost to Serve—to provide data-driven commercial recommendations
  • Pricing Strategy & Guardrails: Maintain and continuously improve proposition value methodologies and pricing guardrails to ensure market relevance, competitiveness, and profitability
  • Commercial Support: Serve as a consultant to Sales teams, performing "what-if" scenario analysis to demonstrate the impact of volume and commercial terms on customer P&Ls
  • Market Intelligence: Proactively monitor competitor pricing actions and market trends to identify risks and recommend strategic actions to address market discrepancies.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all deal structures and pricing decisions adhere to internal policies, discount guidelines, legal requirements, and governance frameworks.
  • Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate pricing workflows through the configuration of CPQ tools and SQL-based data management.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience & Education: 3+ years in financial, pricing, or commercial analysis (retail, FMCG, or B2B preferred); Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related quantitative field.
  • Technical Data Mastery: Expert Excel skills for complex modeling and large datasets, with advanced SQL proficiency for data extraction (ideally in GCP environments)
  • Analytical & Commercial Rigour: Strong financial literacy and commercial acumen; ability to triangulate data from multiple sources to drive business value and improve bottom-line performance.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills; able to translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • System Knowledge: Experienced with Salesforce Suite (CPQ) or BI tools (Tableau/Power BI), and comfortable using SAP for data management and integrity.
  • Agility, Resilience & Mindset: Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, sales-driven environments; self-starter with a focus on process simplification, workflow automation, and challenging the status quo.

What You’ll Experience
We embrace diversity of thought and love to take on challenges with a pragmatic and innovative approach. Our culture thrives on mutual respect, care, curiosity, openness, and a proactive attitude. We continually seek ways to pair, collaborate, support, and learn from each other as a team!

  • Team discounts across our range of Woolworths Group brands you know and love and a robust rewards program that celebrates and incentivises purpose-driven work
