The apprenticeship program manager for Woolworths 360 at Woolworths Group is affectionately known as the ‘Apprentice Mum’ to the ‘budding fridgies’ who are part of the world-class four-year program.

Woolies wheels and walks

In 2024 over 2,100 team members completed a a 10km or 21km walk as part of our Woolies Wheels and Walks event with Tour de Cure Australia to raise vital funds for cancer research, support and prevention projects. This was the seventh Woolies Wheels and Walks event with Tour de Cure Australia, raising a total of $6 million for cancer projects.

In partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, which works to improve the education and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, Jono has led school tours that have not only introduced students to the world of retail but have also resulted in new hires.

"We tied the knot in a Woolies-themed wedding in 2021," says Caitlin. "It was a day filled with laughter, love and a whole lot of Woolies spirit."

For team member Caitlin Cuomo, celebrating Wear it Purple Day at Woolworths Group holds a very special place in her heart. “It's a reminder that there are safe spaces in this world where I can truly be myself,” says Caitlin, who started 12 years ago at Woolworths Supermarkets on the checkouts and now works in our support office as a category specialist.
