What you will do
Here at Woolies, we have a team called Proactive Services that ensures trolleys are available to use and that our stores are in pristine condition - this enables our Customers to experience an environment that is hygienically clean to work and shop in. Our Proactive Services teams work side-by-side bringing a little good to everyone, every day.
Our Trainers play a crucial role in supporting our workforce development initiatives and ensuring the success of our training programs through working closely with the Proactive Services Team Leaders.
* Deliver hands-on technical training in Proactive Services tasks, including operating commercial cleaning equipment, the use of authorised chemicals and delivering trolley collection vehicle training and assessment.
* Provide coaching, training and mentoring in proactive services, customer service, and retail excellence,ensuring improvements in the success of the teams you coach through classroom style training, workshops and 1:1’s, side by side coaching and mentoring
* Analyse development opportunities, create coaching plans and report on progress through set communication channels as directed
* Planning and prioritisation based on Proactive Services rollout may include supporting New Store and Renewal programs.
* Work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives
What you will bring
We are looking for a self-motivated and resilient individual who thrives in an evolving environment, adept at navigating change and empowering others to embrace transformation throughout the journey.
* Have a passion for people and get great pleasure out of leading others to success
* Extensive experience in Food Retail Leadership roles including coaching, training and mentoring individuals
* Good knowledge of Food Safety and "what good looks like"
* Embrace Growth Mindset principles and possess strong initiative to build and foster positive relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
* Have a depth of experience and understanding of in store operations or have experience as a Department Manager or ASM
* Have a passion for building and supporting a great cultural environment, and be considered a trusted and collaborative partner
* Ability to travel across South Australia week to week to support the deployment of stores with some overnight stays, early and late starts involved
* Drivers license and willing to drive distances across South Australia
