As our Team Enablement Partner, you will partner with retail businesses to evolve our frontline team experience. This role exists to partner with business leaders to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead the delivery of enhanced team experiences. By leveraging data-led insights and the Agile People model, this role ensures our people strategies (including Talent, Capabilities, and Resourcing) are operationalized effectively at the store level.

This role will be based in Auckland, with relocation support from around New Zealand or Australia available.


What you'll do | Hei mahi

The ideal candidate will support enhancing and delivering key people initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting delivery of our Operations People roadmap and providing guidance on talent and capability plans for Woolworths NZ frontline operations. Ultimately, you will ensure our team's needs are heard and prioritised to drive maximum engagement and performance at a store level. This role will support the development and delivery of our frontline team’s people roadmap, ensuring alignment with wider business goals

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders, including Operations and Support teams, to champion solutions that simplify processes and benefit our teams and customers

  • Leading with a team and customer-centric approach to planning and prioritisation, driving continuous improvement

  • Providing operational guidance and driving our people initiatives for store talent and capability plans and plans of team resourcing

  • Collaborating with retail to ensure effective communication and drive best practice outcomes


This role is driven by our on-site partnering, as well as travel to stores, and across New Zealand as required.


What you’ll bring | Hei koha

To be successful in this role, your experience will likely reflect:

  • Proven background in a Human Resources role which has supported a large retailer, hospitality or organisation

  • Relevant experience to be people project management, desirable to understanding business partnering in an operational business previously

  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, able to build trust, with a talent for leading and coaching change initiatives

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end people processes and experience in managing program deployment

  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving process improvement within teams

  • Ability to support between high-level strategic planning and hands-on tactical delivery, ensuring long-term goals are translated into practical, everyday outcomes.
