What you'll do
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst sitting within the Engineering function, you will act as a partial Product Owner focused on technical delivery and solution design. Your mission is to take the "What" defined by the business and lead the "How" for the engineering squad. You will also be the primary advocate for Agentic AI, ensuring that every requirement is evaluated for AI-driven optimization.
Requirement Translation (What to How): Take high-level business requirements and decompose them into actionable, technical specifications. You will bridge the gap by explaining how the systems will interact to meet BU's needs.
Agentic Solution Partnering: Work side-by-side with Engineers to architect agentic workflows. You will help decide if a requirement should be solved via hard-coded logic or if it is a candidate for an AI Agent (reasoning, tool-calling, and autonomous execution).
Technical Backlog Management: Own the technical "How" of the backlog. You will ensure stories are "Engine-Ready," with clear technical constraints, API mappings, and data flow diagrams.
Process & Workflow Engineering: Analyze existing business processes not just to document them, but to re-engineer them for an AI-first environment. You will identify the specific data points and "tools" an AI agent would need to perform a task.
Elicitation & Validation: Continue to lead complex workshops to gather requirements, but with a focus on technical feasibility. You will define acceptance criteria that account for both deterministic code and probabilistic AI outputs.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the "Technical PO" for your domain, partnering with other BAs on how to interface with Engineering and how to leverage Agentic patterns in their own workstreams.
Solution breakdown, planning, scheduling: Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings. Lead backlog refinement and planning sessions, ensuring proposed solutions are broken down into manageable chunks in close collaboration with the engineering team. Coordinate the scheduling of parallel and sequential tasks, and help the team navigate dependencies and risks.
What you’ll bring
You are a "Technical Translator" with 5+ years of experience who understands that the best solution isn't always more code—sometimes it's a smarter agent.
Engineering-Centric BA Experience: Proven track record of working directly within Engineering teams to deliver complex digital products.
The "How" Mindset: Ability to take a vague business request and map out the API integrations, database schemas, and logic flows required to build it.
AI & Agentic Fluency: A good understanding of how AI Agents function (e.g., how an LLM uses "tools" or APIs to complete a task). You can help engineers define the "action space" for an agent.
Agile Delivery: Expert in writing technical user stories and managing a delivery-focused backlog.
Distributed system experience and familiarity with eventual consistency, data intensive applications, and considerations for reliability, maintainability and scalability.
Technical Literacy: Experience with API design (REST/gRPC), SQL/MongoDB, and system integrations. You are comfortable reading documentation and discussing architectural patterns.
Supply Chain/Fulfilment: Experience in these areas is a big plus, as you'll be applying agentic logic to complex, real-world logistics [Optional but good to have]
