What you’ll do
As our Senior Sales Activation Specialist, you will oversee the planning and execution of all BIG W discretionary space activities. Role provides robust analytics and insights to partner with Commercial, Planning & Operations to support the delivery of exceptional merchandising of our flexible spaces with market-leading customer offers, events, promotional strategies and product activations, enabling us to optimise sales and profitability outcomes to deliver an attractive return on our discretionary space
Lead the planning & execution of all BIG W discretionary space activities by coordinating with Commercial, Planning, Marketing & Operations teams
Develop close working partnerships with Commercial and Leadership teams to deliver frameworks and processes that enable a best in class trade plan, ensuring adherence to frameworks and delivering best outcomes for customers & Big W
Provide robust analytics & insights to continuous optimisation of the sales, GP$, cost-to-serve outcomes, and inventory investments
Manage the discretionary space critical path, ensure adherence to promotional timelines, including post-event reviews, coaching commercial teams about the importance and impact of missed deadlines
Continuously look for process efficiencies & enhancement and manage change effectively to deliver improvements to existing promotional processes and systems
Leverage promotional effectiveness insights to ensure selected discretionary space articles are optimised to deliver best GP$ outcomes
Participate & assist in cross functional promotion post implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement and digital product performance
Develop influencing & leadership skills to build trusted relationships within the BIG W business
Ensure promotional submissions are up to date and well maintained, whilst continually looking for ways to improve the CSP submissions process
What you’ll bring
3-6 year Commercial experience in a Commercial Role (Buying, Category Management, Planning)
Strong analytical skills and comfortable utilising data to make informed decisions)
Experience with large scale process improvement desirable
