What you’ll do

  • Own and evolve robust food safety and compliance programs (including HACCP and FSANZ) across our network to safeguard product quality from end to end.
  • Act as the trusted Subject Matter Expert for Primary Connect standards and Australian food import and export regulations, keeping our domestic and international compliance perfectly aligned.  
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal audits and self-assessments, ensuring our national facilities meet or exceed all required benchmarks.  
  • Lead constructive investigations into food safety incidents, using clear risk assessments to design and implement practical mitigation strategies.  
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, 3PL transport partners, external regulatory bodies to align on safety goals, guide compliance, and uplift food safety knowledge across the business through coaching and shared training. 


What you’ll bring

  • Experience in food safety management within distribution centres, transport and/or manufacturing environment
  • Tertiary education in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related compliance/ risk management field
  • Strong understanding of Australian food safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience in developing HACCP tables, analysis plans and risk assessments
  • Knowledge of GFSI standards and / company funded standards being implemented and executed into operations
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to business partner and influence diverse stakeholder groups
