The Opportunity
The Pricing & Customer Value team is central to our commercial strategy. We partner with Buying, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Strategy to optimise pricing, maintain customer trust, and ensure Woolworths' competitive edge.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will be a trusted business partner, turning complex data into actionable strategies. You will combine advanced analytics with strategic thinking to deliver insights that influence key business decisions and drive growth.
What you’ll do
We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Senior Pricing Analyst to shape and execute pricing strategies that drive growth, enhance customer value and price perception, and strengthen our market position. In this role, you will combine advanced analytics with strategic thinking to deliver actionable insights, influence decision-making, and achieve measurable results across the business.
- Drive Strategy: Lead strategic business partnering with Commercial, Operations, and Marketing to develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Measure Impact: Evaluate the performance of pricing initiatives, providing clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Influence & Collaborate: Translate complex data into compelling insights and solutions to influence senior stakeholders.
- Innovate & Improve: Challenge the status quo, drive enhancements in pricing processes, and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Mentor & Lead: Support and guide junior analysts, helping to build pricing capability within the team.
What you’ll bring
- Experience: 3+ years in Pricing, Commercial, or Category roles (Retail/FMCG preferred).
- Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to translate complex data (Excel/Google Sheets) into clear, actionable insights. SQL proficiency is a strong advantage.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and challenge norms.
- Commercial Savvy: A deep understanding of the relationship between pricing, sales, and profitability.
- Stakeholder Influence: Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a track record of influencing decision-making.You’ll excel at building & maintaining business relationships.
- Organisation: The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
