What you will do:
The role of the Commercial Analyst within the Food eCom Business Unit is to measure, track, and optimise performance of merchandising & trade activities across the eCommerce business. Partnering with teams within the Digital Trade Tribe, you will be delivering data-driven insights related to sales & profit, range, and pricing & promotions.
Provide insights to inform strategic decision making by analysing various commercial lenses in both digital and offline platforms
Build reports and customised data models/dashboards to track & evaluate performance of commercial activities such campaigns & promotions, proof of concepts (POC), and more
Work across multiple systems in content management, financial reporting, & BI
Collaborate with BI team on dashboard requirements, use cases, and designs
Support data & insights requests relating to category management, product availability, and digital trade planning
Prioritise and respond to ad-hoc analytical requests from internal stakeholders
Be an advocate of analytics and collaborate within the Digital Trade & Commercial Insights CoE to promote knowledge sharing
What you’ll bring:
5+ years Commercial experience in an Analyst or Retail (Buying, Pricing, Replenishment Planning) role
Strong data visualisation and communication skills (both written & verbal)
Strong SQL, data analysis, and modelling skills
Experience with BigQuery, and Looker Studio highly desirable
Able to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources
A self-starter – able to work with minimal supervision, able to deal with ambiguity, and self-motivated
Comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Challenges the status quo and existing assumptions in order to promote innovative thinking and new solutions
Adaptable, collaborative, high attention to detail, improvement orientated
