The opportunity
As the Senior Finance Manager for Cartology, you will be responsible for building, developing, and leading a commercial finance function within a rapidly growing retail media business. You will act as a key finance partner to the senior leadership team, contributing to all commercial requirements and managing the complexities of a large-scale retail environment. This role is pivotal in accommodating rapid scale and growth while ensuring the business achieves its strategic and financial outcomes.
What you'll do
Partner closely with the Sales team to drive business performance through insightful, action-oriented analysis and planning rhythms, including forecasting and budgeting.
Lead the Annual Operating Plan, monthly forecast, and month-end processes with the support of the wider commercial finance team.
Drive the successful commercial operation of the business, focusing on efficiency, automation, and the integration of new business opportunities.
Develop comprehensive reporting dashboards for various stakeholder groups to draw out insights and proactively engage leadership to act upon them.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the broader Woolworths Finance teams to ensure alignment in strategy and reporting.
Manage the development of internal controls and financial business cases, including post-implementation benefits tracking for key projects.
What you'll bring
Qualifications: CA/CPA qualified with over 10 years of professional experience, ideally within a Media or Advertising background.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage and inspire a high-performance culture, focusing on coaching, capability building, and succession planning.
Technical Expertise: Strong systems experience in SAP/WEBI combined with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to manage complex data.
Strategic Thinking: A logical and analytical mindset capable of using rich data to assess business opportunities and enhance financial performance.
Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of influencing C-suite executives and navigating complex workplace dynamics.
Mindset: A proactive, resilient, and "customer-first" approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
