What you’ll experience
The Senior Data Analyst is a key analytical leader within the Category Manager Insights & Tools team, accountable for translating complex business problems into actionable data insights and self-service analytical solutions for Range & Space.
This role is pivotal in transforming backward-looking dashboards into predictive, AI-enabled tools, contributing directly to better commercial decision-making in pricing, range, and space.
By leveraging advanced analytical techniques, leading the development of dashboards, tools, and reports, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders and data engineers, this role drives the adoption and impact of data-driven insights across the organization.
What you’ll do
Lead the development of complex analytical solutions, dashboards, and reporting tools, specifically for pricing, range, and space domains, and other key MCV decision-making metrics.
Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, providing actionable insights that drive commercial outcomes whilst translating complex business questions into analytical approaches and technical requirements for data engineers.
Actively contribute to evolving the toolkit to leverage AI and new technology for step-change data interpretation and decision-making.
Design and implement user-friendly, scalable, and robust analytical solutions (dashboards, reports, self-service tools) using advanced data visualisation tools. As well as develop and maintain complex analytical models and algorithms where required.
Ensure analytical solutions are optimized for performance, accuracy, and ease of use.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to include: Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines and underlying data assets are accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose, Category Managers and other business stakeholders to deeply understand their "jobs to be done" and deliver bespoke analytical requests, Partner with Product Owners and Solutions Managers to ensure analytical tools align with product roadmaps and user needs
What you’ll bring
A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) for designing and building complex dashboards and reports.
Strong experience with Python or R for advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation.
Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear analytical solutions and actionable insights.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to clearly articulate complex analyses to diverse business audiences and additionally a problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
