What you’ll do | Hei mahi

You'll be a trusted business partner who is commercially astute and comfortable working with the Finance Manager, and key stakeholders across the eComX portfolio and Woolworths business. 

You'll provide value-add advice, insight, and analysis to drive financial performance. We're looking for someone who can provide a strong commercial lens over the eComX financials to help achieve financial targets and KPIs through leading a robust forecast and budget process, insightful reporting, and performance analysis. You’re just as comfortable completing business cases and financial modelling, as you are rolling your sleeves up and getting things done.

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Proactively identify profit drivers and provide commercial recommendations to the eComX and Growth teams to optimise financial performance.
  • Insightful Reporting: Deliver accurate weekly and monthly reporting, translating complex data into meaningful insights and actionable plans to resolve performance issues.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets (AOP) and regular forecasts, ensuring robust stakeholder engagement and financial accuracy.
  • Commercial Decision Support: Develop comprehensive business cases for OPEX and CAPEX initiatives, aligning cost-benefit profiles with long-term financial goals.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks while calling out opportunities to improve the P&L and balance sheet.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process efficiencies and standardisation across financial support functions, including the integration of AI and lean methodologies.


What you’ll bring | Hei koha

  • Professional Qualifications: Finance degree with CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification and 5+ years of post-qualified experience.
  • Proven Business Partnering: Prior experience in a Senior Finance Business Partner role, ideally within the Retail, FMCG, or eCommerce sectors.
  • Analytical Excellence: Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data from multiple sources to identify patterns, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Systems & Modelling: Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced financial modelling skills to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record of building credibility and managing relationships across all levels.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Experience in analysing end-to-end processes and leveraging systems to drive efficiency and best-practice financial support.
