The Opportunity 

As the technology and innovation engine within one of Australia's leading retailers, eComX is dedicated to delivering the best of Woolworths to our customers, empowered by our talented team, cutting-edge technology, and rich data insights. We are a pivotal force driving seamless experiences for prominent customer-facing brands across the Group, including Woolworths Supermarkets (AU & NZ), MILKRUN, and Woolworths at Work, while also forging deeper strategic partnerships with W-Living (Big W, Healthylife, and Petstock).

As the Senior Business Analyst, Fulfillment, you will analyse business needs, market trends, and user insights to contribute to the product strategy and roadmap. Collaborating closely with Product Strategy & Delivery Managers/Product Managers and cross-functional teams, you will define and document business requirements to maximise business value and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Your focus will be on the business "why" and "what," partnering with Technical Business Analysts who will concentrate on the technical "how."

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities through workshops, interviews, and other effective techniques. 

  • Support the Product Manager in market research and competitive analysis. Assist in gathering and analysing user feedback to identify needs and pain points, contributing to user personas and journey maps from a business perspective.

  • Translate business needs and user insights into clear, concise, and actionable business requirements. 

  • Assist the Product Manager in developing and refining the product strategy and roadmap. Analyse data and metrics to identify trends and insights for strategic decisions.

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Technical Business Analysts, UX/UI designers, and other team members. 

  • Support product performance monitoring and analysis against key business metrics. Assist in identifying opportunities for product enhancements and iterations based on business analysis.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a product-focused environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements using various techniques.

  • Understanding business analysis methodologies and best practices.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and effective organisation and prioritisation skills.

  • Business acumen and an understanding of how products contribute to business goals.

  • Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MIRO, and Google Suite.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience in an agile development environment.

  • Familiarity with product management principles.

  • Experience supporting strategic planning and analysis.
