What you’ll do | Hei mahi

The Senior Business Analyst is crucial for product squad success, bridging user needs and business objectives. They champion users through research, support product strategy, create actionable tasks, ensure quality, and foster collaboration.


The key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Requirements & Solution Design: Drive the design of complex technical solutions by translating business strategies into comprehensive requirements, user stories, process flows, and robust acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with user needs.
  • Strategic Planning & Prioritization: Collaborate with Product Managers to develop strategic plans and prioritize backlog activities by assessing feasibility, technical constraints, dependencies, and overall business value.
  • Champion Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Take ownership of defining and integrating critical NFRs, such as performance, scalability, and security, into the core design of services from the outset.
  • Facilitate Quality Delivery: Support the successful implementation of projects by defining clear acceptance criteria and working closely with Quality Engineers to ensure effective testing and high-quality outcomes.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Champion business analysis best practices and drive successful change management by creating key process documents and artifacts to improve team workflows.
  • Coach & Mentor: Actively coach and mentor other Business Analysts to develop their skills, while supporting chapter leadership in identifying and leading initiatives to embed best practices across the team.

You will bring advanced business analysis skills, a strong understanding of best practices, and excellent stakeholder management abilities. You will also contribute to the team by coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts.


You’ll have:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally within a digital or technology-driven environment.
  • Expertise working across multiple domains and software development methodologies such as Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, dual-track) and Waterfall
  • Exposure to human-centered design practices and mindsets.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading business analysis to achieve success in complex initiatives & environments
  • Expert in eliciting and analysing complex technical requirements, including system analysis and data modelling for large-scale projects.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring others.
