The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst - Planning, Performance & Insights (eComX) to join the eComX and FinX Finance Team.  

eComX represents the largest food retail eCommerce business in Australia, with $7b+ of sales and growing at an incredible ~20% per year. It is a key contributor of sales growth for the Woolworths Group.

It is an exciting role which provides a unique opportunity to oversee the end to end eComX P&L, have a helicopter view of the business and understand what levers and drivers are available to influence profitability and returns while also getting exposure to the eComX and FinX Finance Leadership Team.

What you’ll do

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Month-end support, P&L variance analysis, performance reporting, and generating business performance management (BPM) packs.

  • Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Supporting budget and forecast processes, identifying performance drivers, and recommending corrective actions.

  • External Reporting & Investor Relations: Assisting with external announcements, including drafting announcements, coordinating support packs, Q&A, and verification.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborating with various finance teams (eComX, FinX, Food Finance, etc.) and departments (Investor Relations).

  • Balance Sheet & Risk Management: Contributing to capital reporting, governance, and eCom balance sheet and risk support.

  • Process Improvement & Coordination: Driving improvements, managing timelines and calendars, and participating in all PPI (Performance, Planning & Insights) meetings and workshops.

What you’ll bring

  • CA/CPA qualified with 4+ years post qualified experience

  • Advanced experience and proficiency in data analytics and use of financial systems e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Google slides and Sheets, SAP, IPA (TM1)

  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills and excellent verbal communication coupled with high attention to detail

  • Able to communicate complex financial information in a simple manner 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses 

  • Proven ability in meeting deadlines, prioritising key tasks and timely communication of progress, issues and the like with all relevant stakeholders
