The Opportunity


Due to an internal move we have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Analyst to join our Primary Connect team. You will partner with the State and Site Leadership team at our Distribution Centres, to generate analysis, insights, and provide recommendations to understand and improve the overall operation. Deliver timely and accurate reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial education and guidance.  Work collaboratively with other Senior Business Analysts and Business Analysts across the network to simplify, align and improve processes. Partner closely with the National Optimisation, Operations Excellence and Benefits and Investments teams to support the implementation of continuous improvement and project activities. 

 

What you’ll do


  • Business Reporting & Analysis: Support the production and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports for various teams, including ad-hoc requests.

  • Financial Guidance & Coaching: Advise and coach leadership and operations teams on financial performance, cost-to-serve, and decision-making.

  • Performance Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead accurate forecasting for cost centres and collaborate on annual operating plans and budgets.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to standardise and automate financial processes, seeking "best-in-class" solutions.

  • Stakeholder Alignment & Communication: Ensure strong alignment across departments and effectively communicate financial results and insights to leadership.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial data and insights used for reporting and analysis.


What you’ll bring


  • Extensive and proven experience in a financial or commercial analyst role/Finance Business Partner role.

  • Finance or business related degree and/or working towards a professional qualification.

  • A solid understanding of supply chain operations.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple.

  • Demonstrated achievements in analytical and conceptual finance with experience in financial, variance, and forecasting analysis.

  • Experience preferred with core financial systems including SAP, GCP, IPA, Tableau and other data visualisation tools and financial systems in a commercial environment.
