As one of the largest Finance functions in Corporate Australia we provide opportunities across Corporate Finance, Shared Services, Commercial Finance, Capital Management, Financial Control, Operations Finance, Project Finance, M&A and Strategy and Planning.

The Opportunity
As the Senior Accountant working in the Employee Entitlements & Insurance team you will be involved with the financial accounting of Employee Related Provisions, Workers Compensation, Public Liability and General Insurance.
What you'll do
Review, investigate and provide timely insights on Business Unit P&L and associated balance sheet accounts related to employee provisions
Perform reconciliations with a clear description of outstanding items, supporting documentation and an action plan for clearance
Ensure financial controls are in place and reviewed regularly to comply with accounting policies, standards
Active participation in our Corporate Governance Program including testing key controls and reporting on deficiencies
Drive initiatives and strategies for continual improvement of processes and perform User Acceptance Testing for any changes to the System Environment
What you'll bring
CA or CPA qualification or working towards, 5+ years relevant experience (retail/large corporate an advantage)
Expertise in reconciling complex accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
Deep understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Google Suite, SAP, BPC, GCP and Excel
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision-making.
