What you’ll do
As a Search Media Specialist, you will be passionate about how search marketing can deliver tangible results for a large business like Woolworths. You will enjoy working with clients from various levels and different areas of the business, and relish getting stuck into their business challenges so you can find innovative ways to solve them.
Working with the Search Media Lead and the broader ConnectedX business you will help develop campaigns and initiatives which drive product and category growth, as well as overall customer value.
You must be organised and efficient, and able to handle numerous clients with multiple campaigns across a broad range of brands and categories.
Additionally you will;
- Drive performance and incremental revenue through Search Engine Marketing (SEM) by utilizing group first-party data and executing end-to-end marketing plans across search engines.
- Optimize SEM efficiencies using Products Up to manage multiple feeds within Google Merchant Center (GMC).
- Investigate and integrate product and stock data from various Woolworths technology sources to ensure ad accuracy regarding pricing and availability.
- Manage timelines and budgets, including preparation and presentation, while constantly monitoring key dates and controlling expenditure.
- Cultivate trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and manage weekly briefing sessions to achieve commercial outcomes, using tools like Excel, Big Query, and Looker Studio for automated insights.
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in SEM, including budget planning, forecasting, and using bid management tools like SA360.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
- Expertise in web analytics platforms such as GA360/GA4 and Adobe Analytics, along with experience using Ad Servers like Campaign Manager 360 and various tagging solutions for measurement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and visual reporting skills, coupled with experience in team leadership and excellent time management.
- Desirable knowledge includes understanding how SEM integrates with the wider digital marketing suite, experience with data transfer methods and feed management (e.g., Products Up), commercial acumen, and experience with App ecosystems, Search research tools (e.g., Adthena), attribution, and data tools like SQL, Big Query, and Looker Studio.
