What you’ll do
We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor who is eager to take the next step in their career. As a Health and Safety Advisor for our Planning and Construction team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our safety for retail site renewal projects nationally. This is an opportunity to visit sites interstate and act as a trusted expert, coaching business leaders, partnering with subcontractors and delivering tactical safety solutions that protect our team and customers.
- Act as the primary Safety expert for the Planning and Construction business unit to provide critical on-site guidance for retail store renewals and equipment installations, ensuring all projects meet stringent safety expectations and compliance standards.
- Lead incident and emergency management, oversee complex investigations, and participate in third-line assurance programs to reduce safety risk
- Provide high-level technical advice on construction safety and project management, delivering timely situation reports to senior management
- Use data-driven insights to prepare executive and board-level reports that track safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated health and safety experience, with a background in commercial construction and tier 2 environments
- A Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety is essential, though a Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
- Knowledge of managing construction-related safety risks and navigating client, principal, and sub-contractor arrangements
- Proven ability to provide simultaneous safety support across a large portfolio of concurrent, fast-paced projects
- A natural ability to impact change and influence stakeholders
- A growth-oriented mindset with the ability to pivot priorities in a complex environment
