The Opportunity
The SHW Partner will be responsible for educating, delivering advice and providing expertise to implement and embed best practice Safety processes in the Proactive Services space.
The role partners with Supermarkets Operations, Proactive Services and the wider Supermarkets SHW team as well as other stakeholders including; W360, People and Risk teams.
You’ll support our Proactive Services network across the SA/NT/WA region, and partner with peers on other BUs as required.
What you’ll do
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with store leaders to drive engagement, education, and commitment to Safety, Health, and Wellbeing.
- Compliance Auditing: Conduct critical control reviews and gap analyses to ensure documented processes align with operational reality.
- Operational Coaching: Lead store walks to provide technical guidance and support managers in completing safety plans and risk reporting.
- Incident Investigation: Manage Severity 1 and 2 incident investigations, ensuring accurate documentation, escalation, and trend analysis.
- Corrective Action Management: Partner with teams to close out safety audit findings and regulatory notices efficiently.
- Crisis & Regulatory Response: Act as a primary contact for critical incidents (on-call rotation) and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications: Degree qualified in safety or a related discipline, or demonstrable experience with Cert IV
- Proven Results: Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering safety and wellbeing initiatives.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to "Lead with Care" and coach others to drive safety commitment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of process flow, auditing, and incident investigation.
- Collaborative Autonomy: Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous safety improvement.
