As our Safety, Health & Wellbeing Manager – Injury Care, you'll be a critical and technical thinker and leader, responsible for evolving and embedding a proactive culture of injury management excellence across Woolworths New Zealand. We’re excited to welcome the right leader to take over the reins from a long-serving team member who is about to retire. You'll provide expert advice and thought leadership, influencing key stakeholders to enhance capability and significantly mitigate risk. Ultimately, you will champion our InjuryCare principles to ensure we always do the right thing by our team members.

Based in Favona, this hybrid role will see you partner with your InjuryCare team, and the broader safety, health & wellbeing team that works as a connected network across the motu as well as our 3rd party administrator and ACC. We are one of the largest employers in New Zealand in the ACC Accredited Employer Programme - so your knowledge, experience and relationships in this area will be critical. Your proven ability to develop and influence in a corporate setting, pioneering a pathway to reduce injuries and lost hours, delivery of AEP requirements and how we plan ahead for future success will have a positive rippling effect across one of the largest employers in New Zealand.
- Leading injury management strategy and compliance, ensuring adherence to all ACC legislation and audit standards.
- Overseeing complex claims and financial management, optimising a multi-million dollar workers' compensation process.
- Driving strategic claims coordination and leveraging data to inform business-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Empowering operational leadership through expert coaching to build capability and proactively manage workplace injuries.
- Championing cultural and behavioural change to foster a proactive mindset towards injury prevention and effective recovery in our FMCG environment.
- Cultivating strategic relationships with all stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal recovery outcomes.

You'll directly impact team wellbeing and business performance with your knowledge of ACC Accredited Employer Programme, ACC Legislation, and injury case management.To be successful in this role, your experience will likely reflect:
- Proven expertise in leading and transforming injury management functions in complex, multi-site environments.
- Deep strategic and practical understanding of ACC legislation and audit standards.
- A demonstrated ability to influence and build high-level relationships with diverse stakeholders.

- Strong capability in co-creating and delivering impactful training and coaching programmes.
- Proficient in leveraging data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
