The Opportunity

The Risk Partner - Compliance role sits in Group Compliance within the Group Risk Platform, a Line 2 function for Woolworths Group. 

Woolworths has a decentralised compliance model in which compliance activities are led by each BU, supported by Group Legal and where relevant supported by specialist Line 1 compliance teams for key areas such safety (people, food and product), privacy, cyber, etc.

You will be joining at an exciting stage at Woolworths, refreshing the Group Compliance function to bring greater value for the Group. We see this role is an important part of the Group Compliance refresh.


What you’ll do

  • Act as a key advisor on all compliance matters, balancing business objectives with risk management.
  • Help shape and execute the annual Group Compliance work program and reporting for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Apply the 'Three Lines of Defence' model to develop and implement a fit-for-purpose Group Compliance model.
  • Maintain and update Group compliance policies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Legal and specialized compliance teams.
  • Lead efforts to improve compliance capabilities and knowledge sharing across the business.
