Woolworths Group (Australia and New Zealand’s largest retailer) launched Woolworths Market Plus (WMP) in October 2023. WMP is a curated customer destination that brings together our trusted marketplace ecosystem, comprising three core banners: Big W Market, MyDeal, and Everyday Market.

WMP provides one door for our sellers to both sell and manage products across our marketplaces. We continue to grow, and operate primarily across three hub locations: Melbourne, Sydney & Manila.


What you’ll do

The Retail Media Specialist is responsible for the outbound retail media sales engagement across Woolworths MarketPlus, with the objective of educating sellers on the benefits of utilising the various propositions, onboarding and retaining sellers


Responsible for the activation of new retail media propositions, you will partner with sellers to develop commercial strategies and on-going use of retail media propositions; including fixed assets, Sponsored Products and Everyday Rewards campaigns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and the seller growth team, to sell in various retail media propositions and create and manage campaigns that enhance the customer journey and maximise return on investment (ROI).


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Seller outbound engagement, educating prospects on the benefits of Promoted Products, fixed assets and Everyday Rewards 
  • Supporting seller growth team with key retail media opportunities and seller education.
  • Develop initial campaign strategies with sellers and facilitate campaign briefs for sellers on-boarding and campaign activation
  • Work collaboratively with sellers and internal stakeholders to optimise campaign performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain marketing collateral, including media kits and ensure that it is current and effectively summarizes the Woolworths MarketPlus propositions.


What you’ll bring

We are looking for a proactive sales professional who is energised by an entrepreneurial environment, and would be excited to join a team who are in the early stages of their retail media journey, with lots of opportunities to contribute along the way.


  • Experience working in the Australian retail/eCommerce environment
  • Product marketing experience or digital marketing & media experience 
  • Ability to identify and present eCommerce/online retail solutions to potential and existing clients
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise various projects simultaneously with a focus on delivering results
  • Pipeline management and ability to deliver high-quality results against sales targets
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills
  • Superb presentation, interaction and communication skills
