The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Retail Project Manager to work within our NSW Property Development Team to review and undertake strategic developments of retail centres. From influencing initial design to store opening, the role requires outstanding stakeholder management, design transformation and understanding of retail amenity.
What you’ll do
Strategic Vision & Planning: Develop visionary and strategic project opportunities and development strategies within existing developments.
Stakeholder Communication: Present potential development options effectively to key internal and external stakeholders.
Consultant & Builder Management: Identify, select, and manage consultants and builders to optimize project performance.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and implement critical risk minimization strategies throughout the project life cycle.
Project Management & Cost Control: Manage the project design process, provide accurate cost estimates, and oversee the construction phase, including tenant delivery.
Multi-project Delivery & Optimization: Deliver multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget, and contribute to continuous improvement of group procedures.
What you’ll bring
Tertiary Building or Engineering Degree coupled with 5+ years of experience in similar/related positions and strong project delivery experience.
Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of potential deal structures for negotiation with landlords regarding redevelopment options.
Experience with financial planning and analysis, being able to present these options accurately and professionally to key stakeholders.
In-depth experience in dealing directly with builders on-site during the construction phase; knowledge of construction and construction methodologies, building materials.
Detailed knowledge of retail design and customer amenity.
Articulate, organised and has a positive / can do and entrepreneurial attitude.
