What you'll do

Reporting to the National Installation Manager - Refrigeration, as the Regional Installation Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall operation of the installation team across Vic/Tas and SANTWA. You'll lead a team of Project Managers and skilled technicians and apprentices, overseeing all aspects of installation projects, from costing, planning and execution to budget management and stakeholder engagement.

  • Deliver cost effective and sustainable Refrigeration outcomes for the Woolworths Business

  • Drive operational excellence: Ensuring all installations are completed to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.

  • Ensuring a culture of safety that is “ best in class” approach towards the safety of team and customers

  • Building strong relationships: Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and store teams.

  • Influencing decision-making: Providing expert advice and recommendations to senior management on all aspects of installation projects.

  • Driving continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

  • Lead diverse teams across a wide area to deliver Refrigeration projects and ensure adherence to commercial governance systems and processes

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to drive improvements to business outcomes

  • Build strategies to identify and develop high performers to build a future fit team 


What you'll bring

You'll need a unique blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen and leadership skills to excel in this role.

  • A proven track record of leading and inspiring teams

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in supermarket refrigeration maintenance,  engineering and commercial construction is ideal. 

  • Strong relationship and influencing skills to work across diverse stakeholders, and advanced leadership capabilities to grow and develop teams.

  • Experience in building and managing annual budgets, with experience to identify and influence change to provide OPEX efficiencies

  • A strong understanding of engineering systems covering design, installation and maintenance is essential.

  • Strong technical and operational skills with a sound understanding of commercial / supermarket refrigeration, air conditioning systems and equipment

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing Safety governance processes

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an engineering or science discipline, desired but not essential

  • Current, valid Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.

  • Experience dealing with senior managers at all levels in an organisation.
