What you’ll do
As a key member of a highly innovative and collaborative team, the Range Optimisation Analyst plays a leading role in tailoring product offerings to communities across Australia. This involves partnering with various teams to optimize space and range using technology, improving range effectiveness, range efficiency and range perception through data-driven analysis, generating impactful insights and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. The role works closely with the Commercial Team to implement strategic category, range, and space visions that provide value to our commercial & customers.
- Spearhead impactful and collaborative range optimisation strategies across Commercial and Merchandising & Customer Value to deliver Supermarket priorities, exceptional customer value, and commercial goals.
- Accountable user of our industry-leading range optimisation capabilities to create and govern tactics that produce store-specific ranges that drive the most effective and efficient range, space and commercial outcomes.
- Laser-focus on our ranging framework to transform and improve these principles across range efficiency, range effectiveness and range perception
- Lead and initiate with insights and commercial success by providing influential recommendations grounded in strong analytics of our ranging principles and category performance.
What you’ll bring
A minimum of 3 years experience in relevant roles (eg: merchandising, category analyst, data &
insight analyst, finance analyst, pricing analyst)
Proficient understanding of Google & Microsoft systems, with intermediate/advanced excel
functions (eg: pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting)
Basic to intermediate GCP and SQL knowledge
Knowledgeable in agency datasets (Quantium, Shopper Intelligence, Circana or equivalent
datasets advantageous
Experience in SAP and Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning with exposure to PG - Advantageous
Understands the FMCG industry and commercial processes of Woolworths and Suppliers -
beneficial, but not strictly required
