What you’ll do

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Production Planner ensures optimal DC productivity and timely dispatch of store orders, as well as identify trends in performance deviations and work closely with the automation DC to analyse/determine the root cause and provide remedies. 

You will:

  • Cultivate a customer-centric culture within your team, leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports to achieve excellent outcomes.

  • Ensure consistent practices exist within the DC and across the Primary Connect network 

  • Participate in system testing including DILO, operations readiness and commissioning activities

  • Develop documentation eg work instructions, SOP’s and processes

  • Manage and monitor operational KPI’s to ensure resource planning is within budget and meets volume forecasts

  • Drive engagement at all levels of the business, facilitate the sharing of ideas in a way that supports achievement of key measures and drives continuous improvement

  • Travelling  to other DC’s as part of your training and onboarding


What you’ll bring

  • Proven Operational experience working in Supply Chain or manufacturing environments

  • Experience in FMCG, Distribution, retail, people management 

  • Knowledge of relevant OH&S and RTW legislation 

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

  • Experience in delivering results through cross-functional working

  • High level of effectiveness in team situations under the pressure of multiple deadlines

  • Demonstrated use in control systems including planning and operational systems
