What will I be doing?

The successful candidate for this role will be the technical leader and subject matter expert within a Hosting portfolio (Directory services). You will work closely with the Directory Services Product Owner on strategy, roadmap development, and execution.  

Given the foundational nature of Directory services and DNS, this role is a critical technology enabler in a critical portfolio


The role requires Technical leadership, Cloud Architecture, Directory Services and DNS expertise with a deep Cloud Engineering and Automation background.  

You will work with the Product Owner (Directory Services), Engineering Manager and a team of cloud automation engineers and technical architects to deliver the following


  • Develop and implement a Directory Services Strategy that aligns with broader organizational and current hosting portfolio strategies.

  • Assist in the crafting & maintaining of the Directory Services Roadmap based on the current & future state in accordance with the Organisational and Product Roadmaps

  • Work with the Product owner to develop and manage the product backlog, ensuring prioritisation of Service lifecycle management, service improvements, risk and innovation are balanced

  • Contribute to effective Capex & Opex budgets for the Directory Services Products

  • Drive innovation in the portfolio with a focus on automation, speed and reliability, as well as cost and risk management

  • Collaborate with Operations & Build Teams to ensure Directory Service implementations meet Woolworths standards and learnings from production incidents are applied


What will I bring?

  • 8 Years plus experience in the IT industry as a whole especially in technology lead roles

  • An SME with circa 7+ years experience and a background in the Cloud Infrastructure and/Or Development space

  • Deep expertise and experience with Google Cloud Platform or Azure, with recent experience designing and implementing standardized Azure or GCP service offerings aligned with DNS and foundational Directory Services.

  • Significant experience with Directory Services Platforms (Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Redhat LDAP) including integration with third party toolsets

  • Experience developing product and services roadmaps focussing on delivering capability and minimising organisational risk.

  • Experience designing and implementing DNS, DHCP and PKI solutions

  • DNS and Identity SME with proven experience delivering robust and fallout tolerant architectures in very large organisations.
