The Opportunity
We are seeking a Procurement Systems Enablement Specialist to join the Group Procurement team in the area of Procurement Systems Enablement.
You will be a key player in supporting, shaping and driving our Group Procurement Systems Transformation, reporting into the Procurement Process Innovation Manager.
The role will be instrumental in ensuring our ambitious transformation goals are met by gaining a deep understanding of the new platforms being implemented, facilitating seamless collaboration with key stakeholders, and assisting the Program Manager in meeting key implementation milestones. Subsequent to implementation, this role will provide subject matter expertise on an ongoing basis to the business seeking to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the future ecosystem.
The role will be based 2 days a week from our Norwest support office and 1 day a week either in Norwest or Surry Hills.
What you’ll do
- Project Management & Coordination - Actively support project coordination by tracking progress, managing timelines, and mitigating risks to ensure key milestones are met. You'll participate in regular status meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of project phases.
- System Design & Testing - Partner with subject matter experts to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains. You will help develop user stories, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and collaborate with vendor teams to configure and integrate new systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management - Facilitate strong engagement with business units and teams, ensuring their needs are incorporated into the solution design. You'll assist in developing communication plans and training programs to drive a seamless adoption of new platforms and address any resistance to change.
- Platform Administration & Continuous Improvement - Act as a subject matter expert for new platforms, providing ongoing support to users and addressing system complexities to enhance productivity and user experience. You'll also work with the reporting team to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track project value realization.
What you’ll bring
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with the following experience:
- 3 - 5 years Procurement experience (industry or consulting)
- Experience with Procurement systems (Ariba/SAP preferred), preferably within a large-scale business, technology or IT transformation project.
- Project management experience with familiarity of project management methodologies and tools for tracking tasks, timelines, and risks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and document complex business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience or understanding of business processes and systems is highly advantageous, especially in complex multi-system environments.
- A proactive attitude and detail orientated approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
