The Privacy & Customer Trust Team is a central team that sets the strategy for Business Units partnering with them to drive privacy and responsible data use uplift across the organisation. Managing privacy risk, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), governance, training and awareness, data ethics, incident management, tool and resource development, compliance and reporting, evaluation, and enhancements
What you’ll do:
As Privacy Operations Specialist and a key member of the Group Privacy & Customer Trust Team you will deliver privacy and customer trust solutions for Woolworths Group. Critical to this role is preparedness for regulatory changes, compliance, governance and the building of stakeholder relationships, privacy awareness and capability across Woolworths Group.
Build and embed key components of the Group Privacy Program into systems, processes, and governance.
Deliver foundational and strategic priorities to evolve privacy and customer trust maturity to enable confident, responsible use of personal information across the Group, responsive to evolving risks and expectations.
Develop and implement best practice systems, frameworks and processes for privacy governance and privacy by design, including PIAs, incident and complaints management, data mapping, privacy risk and policy development.
Provide expert training, communications and guidance on privacy-related obligations and other relevant considerations.
Recommend, develop, and support best practice in consultation with Legal teams, to manage change as a result of evolving legislation and regulations relating to privacy, data ethics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related areas.
Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the Group to influence and implement effective privacy and data ethics capabilities.
Represent the Privacy & Customer Trust Team at relevant forums, working groups, councils and committees.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for a versatile team player ready to tackle evolving demands. You have a flair for collaboration and innovation and bring superior knowledge in regulatory compliance and operational excellence with a thirst for streamlining processes and reducing friction.
5+ years of experience in Privacy or a related field
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field including Business, Law, Cyber, Technology, Privacy, or related.
Proficient knowledge of the Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles, and OAIC guidance.
Experience in PIA methodologies, privacy risk management and embedding privacy by design.
Experience with OneTrust is desirable.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including policy and procedure development and delivery of training & awareness initiatives and communications.
Ability to confidently handle privacy complaints, queries, individual rights requests and incidents.
Understanding of privacy enhancing technologies and data foundations.
Stakeholder management skills.
IAPP certification or other related studies in privacy, data governance, AI, data ethics is desirable.
