Pricing Analyst
This is a Permanent, full-time Pricing Analyst opportunity based at Surry Hills, Sydney.

Woolworths at Work (WAW): Launched in 2020, Woolworths at Work (WAW) is a high-growth, digital-first business unit within the Woolworths Group that is redefining the B2B grocery supply market. WAW is on a rapid trajectory with ambitions to become a $1bn+ venture by F27.
What you’ll do
You will develop, maintain, and continuously improve list price methodologies and pricing guardrails to ensure market relevance and profitability.
- Pricing Strategy & Infrastructure: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve our list price methodology and pricing guardrails to ensure market relevance and profitability
- Promotional Effectiveness: Use commercial and effectiveness data to shape promotions strategy, ensuring activities drive customer loyalty and value while optimising business investment and margins.
- Competitor Intelligence: You will manage competitor pricing benchmarks and monitor price indices, recommending strategic actions to address discrepancies and maintain a competitive market position.
- Profit Analysis & Financial Planning: You will conduct deep-dives into key profit drivers like Margin, EBIT, ASP, and AOV to articulate performance fluctuations and prepare actionable insights for leadership.
- Financial Processes: Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes to ensure pricing strategies align with overall financial targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sourcing, Propositions, Commercial Deals, Marketing, and Trade Planning squads to execute initiatives that enhance revenue.
What you’ll bring
You are an experienced professional, ideally with a background as a Pricing Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Finance Analyst, or Assistant Category Manager. Experience within retail, FMCG, or B2B environments is highly desirable.
Your Core Skills Include:
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial literacy and commercial understanding, with the proven ability to synthesise data from various sources to identify business value and drive bottom-line performance.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in data extraction using SQL within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and expert-level Microsoft Excel for building sophisticated models.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, compelling narratives that effectively influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Process Improvement: A proactive, self-starter approach focused on simplifying processes, automating routine workflows, and challenging existing standards (status quo).
- Data Management: Comfort and familiarity with SAP for effective data management and ensuring the integrity of data.
