 What you'll do

Lead and enable the Quality Engineering community of practice to drive positive team sentiment and deliver exceptional business outcomes within the Woolworths Group digital ecosystem. 

This involves creating and advocating a strategic Practice roadmap to establish best practices, tools, and frameworks, while managing key partnerships and maturing craft capabilities through comprehensive training programs to ensure a global, best-in-class digital customer experience.


  • Lead a community of team members, through communities of practice, who are responsible for delivering a global, best-in-class digital customer experience

  • Creation, communication and advocacy of a Practice roadmap with clear OKRs which enables standards, frameworks, tools and best practice ways of working, today and into the future.

  • Manage the relationships of key internal and external partners and software providers in line with the Practice budget

  • Responsible maturing our craft capabilities to support the changing needs of our business, with strategic application of craft across W Digital and into Woolworths Group

  • Develop and roll out training programs, in collaboration with Domain and Delivery leadership teams across W Digital



What you'll bring

You will have a demonstrable record of progression throughout your career, having worked in roles of similar complexity, ideally within the retail or complex services or product sector. You will have experience working within a matrixed/Agile organisation having had success in building and fostering relationships across and down into the business and acknowledged for having built and managed strong relationships. You will have deep resource management experience, a background in technology, strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise and problem solve. As a trusted advisor, you have the ability to influence an organisation with a good appreciation of commercial and strategic context.


  • 5+ years in a similar role in a relevant environment and industry when developing people for medium / large size teams

  • Proven experience with: Shifting left Quality Engineering processes, Testing Automation including Front end, Mobile, Component API and Services testing frameworks, and non functional testing frameworks including Component Load testing framework, Accessibility and Security testing techniques, Resiliency Testing

  • Successful track record in delivering complex programs and/or transformations

  • Experience establishing and running topic or /and role based communities of practice

  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent workstreams
