What you’ll do:

As a seasoned Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) expert, you will bring extensive experience in applying risk management principles, particularly those focused on Critical Risks. Your role will involve collaboration with all levels, engaging both frontline staff, management and executive leaders to develop and implement programs aimed at continually improving the management of these risks. 


You'll join a team focused on delivering pragmatic and effective solutions across the broader Woolworths business making our workplaces safer for our teams and partners.


  • Act as the subject matter expert to advise and support the improved management of our critical risks.
  • Undertake data analysis and evaluations of WHS critical risks, presenting recommendations based on sound risk management principles.
  • Collaborate, influence and consult across all organisational levels to achieve seamless delivery of strategic programs of work
  • Identify and develop group wide standards, systems and processes required to mitigate our critical risks and support compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Facilitate and lead sessions to build organisational knowledge and awareness of our critical risks and our critical controls 


What you’ll bring:

  • Experience operating effectively at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Hazard and risk management application knowledge with demonstrated experience analysing and evaluating WHS critical risks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills to proactively identify and respond to emerging risks.
  • Bachelor degree or diploma in safety preferred or equivalent.
