What you’ll do

In this role, you'll develop and execute nature-based programs, primarily focusing on managing the critical path for sustainable sourcing across seafood and animal welfare supply chains, to deliver on the Group's multi-year sustainability strategy across Australia and New Zealand.


  • Lead High-Impact Sustainability: Drive the successful delivery and project management of key animal welfare and sustainable seafood sourcing initiatives, acting as the subject matter expert to meet the Group's multi-year strategy.
  • Deliver Impact: Effectively coordinate and partner with internal business units across Australia and New Zealand to drive project outcomes and embed sustainability practices.
  • Protect the Brand & Mitigate Risk: Proactively monitor the external environment and ensure compliance with brand guidelines and public sustainability commitments to manage and mitigate business risks.
  • Shape Policy: Monitor the media, policy, and regulatory environment on nature-related topics to inform policy development and support high-quality reporting for senior leadership.
  • Build Powerful Partnerships: Cultivate and foster strong, collaborative relationships with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders, including certification bodies and industry groups.
  • Drive Results: Ensure the achievement of in-year KPIs, short-term targets, and continued compliance with policies, making a tangible difference to the Group's sourcing standards and sustainability goals.


What you’ll bring

Bring your deep, demonstrated experience in animal welfare and/or sustainable seafood sourcing, preferably within a large-scale retail or FMCG context, to a role where your knowledge directly impacts Group strategy.

  • Master of Complex Projects: Showcase your proven ability to manage and deliver complex, cross-functional projects on tight deadlines, demonstrating a talent for unifying teams and achieving tangible results.
  • Compliance & Reporting Acumen: Apply your solid, practical knowledge of compliance requirements, third-party certifications, and environmental reporting to ensure the highest standards and mitigate business risks.
  • Data-Driven Influencer: Leverage strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to synthesize complex information, translate it into clear commercial recommendations, and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Agile Leadership: Thrive as an organized, structured, and solution-oriented individual, leading multiple fast-paced and diverse assignments in parallel in a culture that embraces change.
  • Strategic Thinking: Utilize your ability to horizon scan local and international markets for emerging trends, ensuring the Group's sourcing standards are continuously improved and future-proofed.
