What you’ll do
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilitator to join our WeFacilitate team, the Design and facilitation team part of the Group Transformation Platform. This role is integral to driving transformation and managing change initiatives across Woolworths. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional facilitation and problem solving skills, a deep understanding of design thinking, and the ability to confidently drive clarity with senior stakeholders on complex transformations and challenges. The Senior Facilitator will lead and support various facilitation projects, ensuring strong partnership with the Transformation portfolio managers, senior business leaders, as well as with our strategy, finance and people partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitation & Leadership:
Lead and facilitate workshops, meetings, and strategy sessions that address intricate organisational challenges and change initiatives, enabling groups to navigate ambiguity, conflict, and resistance.
Design and deliver engaging and impactful sessions that foster collaboration, innovation, and alignment.
Utilise expertise in group dynamics, adult learning principles, and change management to craft customised facilitation processes that meet the unique needs of each client or engagement.
Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders, guiding them through the complexities of organisational transformations and empowering them to make informed decisions.
Problem Solving:
Apply advanced problem-solving techniques to address complex challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Utilise design and systems thinking principles to develop creative and innovative workshops to transformation and organisational challenges.
Analyse data and feedback to inform decision-making and enhance project outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage and influence senior stakeholders, presenting insights, recommendations, and progress updates with confidence and clarity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders to drive alignment and support throughout every step of the engagement.
Skillfully engage and align diverse stakeholders throughout the workshop journey, ensuring that all voices are heard and that collective buy-in is achieved.
Masterfully navigate and resolve conflicts that may arise during the change process, fostering a safe and productive environment for open dialogue and collaboration.
Change and Agile frameworks:
Develop and implement change management plans that support organisational and transformation goals.
Identify and address potential resistance to change, providing solutions and support to overcome obstacles.
Plan and deliver business interventions leveraging enterprise agile tools and processes
Project Management:
Oversee and manage work related to the workshop projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define workshop objectives, inputs, deliverables, and success criteria.
Track progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to keep workshops on track.
Workshop output documentation through succinct impactful narratives to maintain engagement and momentum within business teams
Capacity Building:
Establish and maintain consistent methodologies and frameworks for facilitation, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach across all engagements.
Equip leaders and teams with the skills and tools necessary to sustain change efforts and continue to evolve in the face of ongoing challenges.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organisational Development, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience as a senior facilitator with a focus on transformation, organisational change, and Agile enablement.
Strong knowledge and experience in workshop design methodologies (design thinking, system thinking, Lean, Agile,Theory U, etc)
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a track record of addressing complex challenges effectively.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders with confidence through complex topics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar qualification is a plus.
Experience with change and Agile management frameworks is advantageous.
Strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Adaptable and resilient in the face of changing priorities and challenges.
