What you'll do
The key objective of this role is to enable internal and external stakeholders with customer insights to drive business growth.
The Insights Manager role is central to demonstrating that Cartology is a clear leader in shopper insights, delivering customer impact and data-led thinking. This is a critical component of our customer value proposition and leverages the strength of our connection to Woolworths, Woolies X, Rewards and Quantium.
The role is to produce material that positions Cartology as a leading media organisation. The Insights Manager will do this by sourcing, collating, translating and packaging data and insights to make them meaningful for our sales team and clients. Key to this is to build and foster internal relationships with marketing, insights and category teams across the Woolworths Group to ensure Cartology has exposure to essential and up to date customer data, which can be shared within Cartology and with our clients.
The right candidate for this role will be a natural leader, a forward thinker, and have an internal drive to seek opportunities to improve upon the insights strategy for Cartology. The skills required to succeed in this role include the ability to analyse survey and behavioural data, and turn data into stories that will drive revenue by promoting Cartology’s media offering and the audiences we reach across our ecosystem.
Take the business lead in the production of exceptional and market leading customer insights, to drive revenue and support Cartology’s Customer Value Proposition
Demonstrate that no one understands customer and shopper behaviour more than Cartology, powered by Woolworths, Woolies X, Rewards, Quantium.
Gather, collate, translate and package customer data and insights to support the sales team in-market and create revenue opportunities (across categories, seasonal events, products etc.).
Develop slick customer data and insights / thought leadership content to regularly engage our target audiences across key channels - website, socials, eDMs, trade press, events etc.
Work with external agencies to develop bespoke research that support and deliver engaging go to market programs and content.
Be the custodian of competitor intel, retail media trends and global customer and shopper trends.
What you'll bring
Strong analytical and storytelling skills - you can turn complex customer data into compelling insights that drive commercial outcomes.
CRM, media, or marketing experience – with a deep understanding of customer behaviour, segmentation, and campaign strategy.
Collaborative mindset - proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Content creation & communication skills - confident in creating high-impact sales tools, reports, and customer-facing materials.
A proactive and strategic approach always looking for opportunities to optimise the insights function
