The Opportunity
This is a pivotal, high impact leadership role for a strategic and experienced Head of Procurement to join the Woolworths Group Procurement Leadership Team.
You will seize the reins of the Marketing, Print, and Corporate Services categories, directly influencing an approximate annual spend of $2.1 billion. This vast portfolio covers everything from complex media agencies and catalogue production to critical professional and financial services, making you central to the efficient operation of a leading Australian retailer.
What you'll do
- Lead End to End Sourcing Strategies:t: Take ownership of the end to end delivery of visionary category strategies for the Marketing, Print and Corporate Services portfolio, forging and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies.
- Drive Unprecedented Value: Achieve and exceed organisational Key Results (OKRs), driving maximum value and commercial outcomes across the significant $2.1 billion Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) spend.
- Inspire and Develop the Team: be an inspiring leader, creating a high performing growth environment and articulating a compelling vision for a team of procurement professionals.
- Build Strategic Relationships: Build meaningful and influential relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and expertly manage key supplier performance and partnerships.
- Champion Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Embed best practice approaches to challenge and optimise procurement systems while ensuring uncompromising compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Manage Risk and Sustainability: Practice diligent risk management across the GNFR supply chain and integrate conscious sustainability into strategic planning.
What you’ll bring
- Senior Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a similar senior procurement or commercial leadership role, managing a multi billion dollar spend portfolio with a track record of driving significant commercial outcomes.
- Specialised Category Expertise: Extensive, game changing experience across the full Procurement lifecycle, specifically within the Marketing, Print and Corporate Services categories.
- Visionary Strategic Thinking: A true visionary talent for transforming complex category insights into powerful, actionable strategies and ensuring their successful execution.
- Transformational Team Leadership: The ability to be a transformational leader who ignites passion, guides with precision and actively develops team members to cultivate a high-performing environment.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Influence: Demonstrated ability to connect, collaborate, influence and inspire diverse senior stakeholders, bringing them along on a journey of shared success.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration (or a relevant field) or equivalent industry experience.
