What you’ll do

  • Lead the national temperature-controlled operations function, focusing on continuous innovation and optimisation of our PC+ transport network across a complex road and rail infrastructure, supporting 600+ customers across the Chilled, Frozen, Meat, Seafood, and Produce sectors.
  • Act as a strategic architect and implement new technologies, AI, and processes to evolve our future operational service model.  
  • Champion the PC+ value proposition across the Woolworths Group, carrier partners, and customers to build strong brand advocacy and alignment.
  • Build and develop pivotal relationships with external partners to align on strategic priorities.
  • Drive an uncompromising culture of food safety, quality, and cold chain integrity. This role is pivotal in positioning Primary Connect as the leading expert in complex, large-scale fresh food logistics ultimately unlocking our future ambition of being “the leading Supply Chain solutions partner across Australia & NZ”. 


What you’ll bring 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a senior transport, logistics, or supply chain role, preferably within a large-scale transport of related transport industry.
  • Deep technical knowledge of road and rail transport operations, including national legislation, heavy vehicle regulations, diverse equipment design/capability, network flows, and complex pricing/costing methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing and managing large-scale, complex transport networks, ideally with exposure to food and general merchandise.
  • Proven track record in strategic carrier management, including procurement and performance management.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high performing and engaged teams, driving positive change and leading from the front, with strong coaching and team development skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills, effective stakeholder management from operational teams to C-Level executives
