The Next Gen Marketing team was established to lead this transformation, with a core focus on enabling marketing teams to work smarter through modern technology, automation, and AI. At the heart of this capability uplift is our Marketing Technology (MarTech) roadmap, which brings to life tools like Adobe Workfront and our Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform to streamline planning, production, and delivery at scale.
What you'll do
As maternity leave cover for the Head of Next Gen MarTech, your mission is to drive forward this roadmap - bringing together platforms, people, and processes to support campaign delivery, accelerate automation, and embed AI into the way we work. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring marketing teams are empowered by the right tools and data to create connected, omnichannel customer experiences.
Success in this role requires deep cross-functional collaboration, a strong grasp of marketing operations and technology, and a passion for enabling teams to innovate at pace.
Lead the delivery of our MarTech roadmap, driving the successful rollout, adoption, and optimisation of key platforms like Adobe Workfront and our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Empower marketing teams by embedding automation, data, and AI into daily workflows, enabling smarter, faster, and more connected campaign delivery.
Shape our future marketing strategy by collaborating with business leaders and fostering strategic partnerships with technology giants such as Adobe, Google, and Meta.
Define and measure success by establishing clear KPIs for all MarTech initiatives, ensuring projects deliver tangible business impact and strong team engagement.
Act as a subject matter expert and innovation leader for Marketing AI, guiding teams in the testing and scaling of AI use cases and championing responsible adoption.
Oversee platform governance, configuration, and vendor assessments to ensure our technology stack is optimised to support campaign delivery, reporting, and performance visibility.
What you'll bring
Extensive Senior Experience: 10+ years of experience developing and implementing omnichannel strategies across digital and traditional marketing channels, including in-store and point-of-sale.
Industry Expertise: Proven track record in a fast-paced retail or FMCG environment, with a deep understanding of its unique marketing challenges and customer dynamics.
Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and nurture digital teams, coupled with strong experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders in complex, cross-functional settings.
MarTech & Process Improvement: Hands-on experience implementing and managing marketing automation and technology platforms, with a passion for streamlining processes and creating repeatable frameworks for efficiency.
End-to-End Project Delivery: Expertise in managing the full lifecycle of complex digital projects and campaigns, from strategic planning and go-to-market execution to production and measurement.
