Join the team behind Woolworths MarketPlus (WMP), we are looking for passionate individuals to work on WMP, the innovative platform launched in October 2023. WMP is transforming our online offering by empowering third-party sellers to seamlessly list and manage products across our key marketplace businesses, including Big W, Woolworths Online (Everyday Market), and Everyday Rewards Shop.
Our goal is to expand our product range, providing customers with an unparalleled "one-stop shop" experience for an extensive selection of exclusive online products.
What you’ll do
As the Group Product Manager - Banner Partnerships for WMP, you will be a key contributor in the defining, development, and execution of the product strategy and roadmap for our WMP platform. This role ensures our WMP tech products effectively meet the strategic needs of the business, enhance customer and seller experience, and drive operational efficiency across Woolworths Group. You'll lead a team of Product Managers, UX and BAs guiding the vision and delivery of critical projects and responsible for evolving the platform experience for our internal and external partners. You will be responsible for developing and owning the WMP product strategy and long-term roadmap, aligning closely with peers in the Big W Market, Everyday Market and Everyday Rewards Shop teams on overall business objectives and broader strategy. You will also:
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across operations, technology and the broader business, to ensure product solutions meet diverse business needs and gain buy-in.
Translate complex business problems and user needs into clear, actionable product requirements. Prioritise features based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic impact.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, discovery, development, launch, and iteration, ensuring continuous improvement and optimisation.
Build a solid understanding of our competitive landscape, the market and our sellers. Know our users, and find opportunities to collect feedback, identify emerging trends, opportunities, and pain points to inform product development.
Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed for product integration or specific solution development where necessary.
What you’ll bring
You are a passionate leader who will mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective product delivery. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps and execution plans. You also bring strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.You will also bring:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital product management, with a significant portion in a leadership role managing other Product Managers - or experience in a complimentary function in a senior-level role.
Strong track record of defining and delivering successful products that drive business value and improve user experience.
Deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape and technologies and experience working in fast-paced, iterative development environments.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior executives.
Proven experience in data-driven decision-making with strong analytical skills and the ability to define and track product KPIs.
Experience with change management and leading teams through significant transformations.
