The Opportunity
The Business Analyst role exists to provide financial and analytical reporting in line with business cadence. The Business Analyst has responsibility for financial reporting, forecasting and budget management across the DC. This role will also work closely with Operations Excellence to support productivity activities.


  

What you’ll do

  • This is a 2-day per week onsite role within site operating hours, with the flexibility to work hybrid across the state support office and home.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor operations, fostering a customer-first culture that delivers excellent results.
  • Champion safety values and implement safety, health, and environment policies and systems, embedding safety into the culture and work practices.
  • Report and monitor performance against the relevant business case.
  • Conduct insightful financial analysis of Distribution Centres (DCs) to understand key drivers, identify impacts, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Publish accurate and timely financial and non-financial reports and targets, collaborating with stakeholders to gather necessary information.   This includes providing volume and non-financial metric forecasts.
  • Deliver high-quality weekly and monthly business performance presentations, articulating key drivers and insights, supporting the Monthly Forecast and Annual and Quarterly Delivery Cycle, partnering with stakeholders to review and challenge performance drivers, improving reporting through automation and process improvements, providing actionable insights to the DC Management Team, preparing financial analysis for projects (e.g., DC enterprise agreement negotiations), and providing financial decision support to the management team as required.

 

 

What you’ll bring

  • CA/CPA or other professional accounting qualification preferred
  • Experience using systems GCP, IPA, Excel, Google Slides
  • Strong data & analytical acumen
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Strong presentation, storyboarding, and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience
  • Experience in Supply Chain, automation or manufacturing would be highly advantageous
