The Opportunity
This role exists to support the design and implementation of the future-state Finance reporting and analytics landscape at Woolworths. You will play a key part in improving the accuracy, efficiency, and usability of our financial reporting, helping to deliver the foundational data that empowers the business to make better decisions.
Operating within an agile, cross-functional team, this role will support the transformation of Finance systems and directly impact the quality and velocity of decision-making across the Group. Key areas of focus include:
- Supporting the design of a persona-based approach to reporting and analysis.
- Working with technology experts to ensure reporting systems and tools are fit-for-purpose.
- Collaborating with other Finance Systems Transformation streams to identify and address interdependencies.
- Defining the value drivers and metrics that will guide the reporting and analytics strategy.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to the Reporting Landscape: Assist in the design and implementation of the future-state reporting and analytics landscape. This includes helping with the design of new insightful reports a solutions like a semantic layer to simplify ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Support Requirements & Documentation: Support the team in the elicitation, analysis, and detailed documentation of business requirements for complex reporting. Your high-quality work will help to accelerate project delivery.
- Collaborate on Technology: Work closely with technology experts to validate and help select the right tools for the job. You'll be working with our modern technology stack, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SQL, visualisation tools like Looker and Tableau and planning tools like IBM Planning analytics and OneStream
- Business Partnership: Act as a key support to the core finance business partners, helping to offer commercial advice and validate assumptions.
- Communicate & Engage: Assist in translating complex financial information into clear and actionable insights and documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
- Strong systems experience, particularly with SAP, GCP and SQL
- CPA/CA qualified or working toward qualification
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Hands-on experience using Confluence for documentation and Jira for task management in an agile or project-based environment.
- Experience with modern reporting and data platforms, including data modeling tools, data visualisation software like Tableau, Looker, or cloud-native analytics
