What you’ll do


Responsible for managing the core Wpay Payments Switching application (Connex) along with integration to our payments partners, including, but not limited to Visa, Mastercard, eftpos & Amex.  


This role will focus on building a strong delivery-focused team and maintaining best practices whilst supporting the technical architecture of the payments processing strategy of Wpay. This role will also have people responsibility for a mix of Engineers & Quality Assurance resources supporting the payments switch.        


Additionally you will;

  • Manage a technical team including QA specialists for the core payments platform.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for software development, support, and QA.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI and Scheme standards.
  • Represent Wpay in Auspaynet forums.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support team career development.



What you'll bring


  • Understanding of Payments systems will be of benefit but not mandatory    
  • Exposure to modern Engineering practices    
  • Leadership experience extending to medium/large teams.    
  • Ability to negotiate and trade off on priorities with the stakeholders    
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
