What will I be doing?
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Technician to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Victoria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth IT operations by providing exceptional technical support to our employees across various locations. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT infrastructure, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our IT services.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to all employees, addressing issues related to desktop computing, software applications, mobile devices, and other technology solutions.
- Utilise ServiceNow for incident management, problem tracking, and service restoration activities.
- Manage patching of IT equipment and maintain accurate records for structured cabling.
- Assist with high-severity or long-running incidents, minimising business disruption.
- Coordinate and implement the installation of new network infrastructure at Support Offices, adhering to change management procedures.
- Provide first-line support for network infrastructure, escalating complex issues to vendors or specialised support teams.
- Collaborate with local business units on projects requiring IT expertise.
- Assist users with queries related to office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Demonstrate strong knowledge of Google Chrome and other Google services.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide out-of-hours support once every 3 weeks and cover is for a week.
What will I bring?
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar incident management systems.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace application
