What you’ll do
As a crucial role within Woolworths Group (eComX), the Digital Merchandising Manager (1P) focuses on enhancing the digital shopping journey. You will lead the optimization of the online experience for nearly 13 million weekly visitors across our Web and App platforms, making the customer path intuitive and effortless to navigate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning & Prioritisation: Drive the Food eCom Digital Merchandising Roadmap and category merchandising strategy, integrating it into broader operational plans, and utilise insights to build action plans based on the overarching Food eCom Strategy. Consistently identify automation opportunities and successful conversion strategies.
- Digital Asset Optimisation: Own the ongoing optimisation of existing tools, pages and assets, using digital data to maximise conversion
- Category Page trading : Optimisation of category pages including theming, amplification of trade plan and business priorities. Working with Digital content planning to continually improve customer engagement and page content. Activate traffic drivers and category events working alongside digital trade, trade planning , EDM & Cartology
- Search & Navigation Management: Identify search quick wins,support internal search queries and anomalies, conduct category search reviews, and implement navigational facets based on insights and category expertise. Conduct aisle reviews and audits in line with trends and business priorities
- Event execution & optimisation: Drive merchandising strategy for key events utilising appropriate levers to deliver optimal results ensuring both customer and business objectives are achieved.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate initiatives across multiple squads and tribes (including Digital Experience, Digital Trade, and Trade Planning) to scope, brief, set up, and execute merchandising requirements.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Be an expert in digesting complex Digital, Customer, and Commercial data to inform short- and long-term decisions, shape ad hoc opportunities, and ensure the delivery of key OKRs.
What you’ll bring
To be successful, you will bring 3+ years of digital merchandising experience within a large omni-channel or eCommerce environment, paired with robust analytical skills to evaluate complex datasets, a proven track record of stakeholder management, and a comprehensive understanding of eCommerce trade levers that boost conversion and customer engagement.
Your background will also demonstrate:
- Data-Driven Insights: Adeptly analyze complex digital, commercial, and customer metrics to pinpoint growth potential, maximize performance, and meet key OKRs including basket size and conversion rates.
- Strategic Enhancements: Direct the digital merchandising roadmap through the strategic optimization of search, navigation, and category pages, ensuring a frictionless and high-converting experience for millions of shoppers.
- Collaborative Alignment: Empower cross-functional teams and build strong stakeholder advocacy, translating digital merchandising goals into actionable strategies that satisfy both customer and business needs.
