What you’ll do


As the Digital Experience & eCom Trade Lead within BIG WX, you will be leading a high performing team and make a real impact in the world of digital and eCommerce! You'll be the driving force behind BIG W's online success including increasing digital traffic, customer engagement and conversion rate – all by delivering amazing digital experiences and content for bigw.com.au and the BIG W app. It's a chance to make a big impact and see your ideas come to life.


  • Develop and implement a “ best in class” digital experience across web and app, boosting traffic and conversion.

  • Lead the eCommerce trading plan, hitting budget targets, driving BIG W Market integration, designing and executing our Online & Customer calendar.

  • Drive digital innovation, focusing on personalisation, experimentation, retail media, loyalty, and AI.

  • Lead a high-performing team, using data to create engaging customer journeys and content. Coach and develop the team, ensuring efficient processes and a customer-first approach.

  • Partner with key stakeholders across BIG W and Woolworths Group to deliver joint business plans.

  • Act as digital champion and support the development of a ‘digital mindset’ across BIG W.


What you’ll bring

  • 5-10+ years eCom experience in a high trading, large retail business

  • Expertise in eCom trading (esp. automated, data-driven, dynamic, always-on digital merchandising), SEO, UX, CRO, and content

  • Previous experience leading large teams (direct and cross-functional)

  • Previous experience as a known and trusted business partner working with cross-functional stakeholders  in a fast paced environment
