What you’ll do
This role focuses on supporting the Everyday Rewards business, forming a key part of the data science function within the space. You will engage with leadership, marketers and partners to deeply understand their objectives and develop solutions that balance commercial outcomes for the group, while providing value for our customers and fostering their loyalty.
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering clear, concise, and comprehensive recommendations to senior management and stakeholders based on data and modelling,
Collaborating with the engineering team to facilitate the productionisation of work streams & automated pipelines for execution,
Partner closely with delivery teams to help design, implement and execute data solutions to help shape and support their strategy,
Engage in coordination and collaboration with broader data science teams.
What you’ll bring
We are seeking a mid-level Data Scientist with 2-5 years of practical experience in data science, possessing technical proficiency, strong stakeholder management capabilities and developing an approach to independent thinking:
Commercial mindset and business acumen,
Presenting, visualising and communicating your recommendations and results and thinking,
Proficient in SQL and Python,
Understanding of key ML tools covering supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms (e.g. GBMs),
Strong statistical and mathematical foundation, with experience in experimental design or A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and power analysis,
Understanding of basic MLOps, such as collaborating with Git, clear structured development and documentation
Some experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
Growth mindset and passion for continuous learning
Knowledge of retail and eCommerce is a bonus
