What you’ll experience

The Data Analyst supports the Category Manager Insights & Tools team by developing and maintaining analytical solutions, dashboards, and reports for the Range & Space teams. 

  • This role is accountable for delivering actionable insights through data visualization and analysis. 

  • Working collaboratively with Senior Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders, this role contributes to providing accurate and timely data-driven insights that empower better commercial decisions and support the evolution towards predictive and AI-enabled tools.

What you’ll do

Develop and maintain dashboards, tools, and reports that provide insights into pricing, range, and space domains, as well as other key MCV decision-making metrics.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing analytical tools and reports to ensure their continuous functionality and accuracy.

  • Contribute to process automation initiatives to improve the efficiency of analytical workflows whilst supporting bespoke analytical requests from business stakeholders, extracting and analyzing data to provide relevant insights.

  • Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reports and analyses.

  • Maintain and update existing analytical models under guidance from senior team members.Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for self-service tools and analytical solutions.

  • Contribute to data stewardship and upholding Group Data Management obligations, ensuring the quality, integrity, and compliance of data for insights delivered.


What you’ll bring

A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) for developing dashboards and reports.

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis is preferred.

  • Understanding of retail metrics and KPIs with an ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.

  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail in addition to good communication skills with the ability to explain analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
