What you’ll do | Hei mahi

As a Data/AI/ML Engineer, you are responsible for building and maintaining next-generation data infrastructure, which involves designing scalable dimensional models and managing cloud platform environments. You will also implement agentic coding frameworks to automate development workflows and ensure high-quality, secure, and governed data outputs for downstream users and AI agents.

In this role, you will:

  • Design Scalable Architectures: Architect clean, robust data environments using advanced dimensional modeling to serve both traditional analytics and LLM interpretability.
  • Orchestrate End-to-End Pipelines: Build and support reliable, modular ingestion workflows that transform raw data into valuable, consumption-ready products.
  • Own the Cloud Ecosystem: Lead our GCP and GitHub environments as a technical owner, managing everything from infrastructure-as-code to secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive AI-Powered Innovation: Integrate industry-leading AI tools (like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot) into daily workflows to accelerate development and boost code quality.
  • Enable Autonomous Intelligence: Create APIs and data products that allow autonomous agents and conversational interfaces to seamlessly query and discover our platform.
  • Champion Quality & Governance: Take full ownership of data integrity, enforcing rigorous code standards and monitoring to ensure a secure, high-performance platform.

What you’ll bring | Hei koha

You’ll need a robust foundation in modern data warehousing and dimensional modeling paired with hands-on experience building agentic workflows and AI-driven automation. Your ability to combine high-level engineering discipline with a curious, growth-oriented mindset will be the key to thriving as you innovate at the cutting edge of GenAI and data infrastructure.

Here are the key skills and experiences that will set you up for success in this role:

  • Bring your deep expertise in relational design and dimensional modeling to build rock-solid foundations in our modern cloud data warehouse.
  • Leverage your hands-on experience with agentic workflows and advanced coding assistants to push the boundaries of what our data platform can do.
  • Showcase your command of the modern data stack—including SQL, Python, dbt, and GCP—to orchestrate efficient, scalable pipelines.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to high-quality software discipline, ensuring every line of code you write is clean, secure, and rigorously tested.
  • Bring your 3–5 years of core engineering experience and a history of shipping autonomous AI tools to help drive innovation in a fast-paced retail environment.
